Specifically intended for application on refrigeration systems to transfer heat between high side liquid refrigerant and low side refrigerant vapor. This heat transfer may be desirable for several reasons:
- To raise the vapor temperature to prevent frosting or condensation on the suction line
- To evaporate any remaining liquid in the vapor stream to prevent possible compressor damage
- To subcool the liquid to prevent flash gas in the liquid line
- To increase system refrigerating capacity
- Sizes to 80 HP available in this configuration
