The Unico System for modular air conditioning fan/coil units uses a conventional outdoor condensing unit or heat pump in conjunction with a specialty designed indoor evaporator fan/coil unit, which distributes air through a high static pressure system of small ducts and plenums. Supply ducts to individual rooms are only 2" inside diameter.
The Unico System fits where other conventional cooling and heating systems can't—with little or no remodeling required! The modular air handlers and coils can be installed easily into attics, ceilings, crawlspaces and closets. The flexible mini-ducts can be routed through existing ceiling, floor and wall cavities, eliminating the need for unsightly and noisy metal ductwork. Cumbersome metal ducts are eliminated.
The modules can be arranged in a horizontal, upflow, or downflow configuration.
You'll feel the Unico System's cool comfort, but you'll hardly hear it. The last 36" section of duct has flexible, sound absorbing tubing that provides quiet air flow from each individual outlet. The central return air grille also connects to sound absorbing duct to maintain quiet operation.
The Unico System works on the principle of aspiration. Cool streams of high velocity air enter a room, creating gentle circulation without drafts.
The Unico System removes up to 30% more moisture than conventional central air conditioning systems. That means more comfort for you, even at higher thermostat settings.
