It is possible to use a standard Discus service compressor to replace a Digital Discus, BUT should only be done under extreme circumstances
If you elect to do this, you will have 2 options
1 - Re-use the head and valve plate from the failed Digital Discus on the replacement compressor.
You will also need a new head gasket and the proper select fit valve plate gasket
2 - You can use an ISD Digital Discus retrofit kit which includes a new head, valve plate and gaskets which you will have to install on the replacement compressor
ISD Digital Discus Retrofit Kits - M/T 980300010 L/T 980300011
United will not accept the valve plate or head from the replacemnet compressor for exchange or credit.
