Adding water on demand automatically, the 101A keeps the boiler operating during periods when the cut-off might otherwise stop the burner, providing an extra precaution against overheating should the fuel regulators fail.
This electric water feeder is intended to provide automatic fill on small, low pressure steam boilers in residential and light commercial applications.
