The SHGB(E) valves are adjustable, pilot operated, discharge bypass valves that Sporlan developed for use on larger capacity systems such as chillers and large air handling units that require system capacity control. The S-valve opens on a decrease in suction pressure and can be set to automatically maintain a desired minimum evaporating pressure regardless of the decrease in evaporator load. The solenoid stop feature on this valve allows it to be closed for system pumpdown with no need for an additional hot gas solenoid valve.
