Propane (a hydrocarbon) used as the primary refrigerant in small, stand alone refrigeration appliances such as drink machines and display coolers. Propane is flammable and therefore is only allowed to be used in new equipment that has been specially designed to reduce the risk of fire. In applications for which it is approved, charge size is limited. Follow all OEM guidelines for safe charging, and service practices.
